The Brief
David Lloyd Trafford required a new outdoor bar that would complement the surrounding pool area while providing a welcoming space for members to relax and socialise.
The design needed to be robust enough for commercial use while maintaining a premium appearance in keeping with the David Lloyd brand.
Our Approach
The project began with the construction of a substantial timber frame to form the main bar structure and canopy. Every element was carefully measured and built to provide strength, stability and long-term durability.
Once the framework was complete, we installed a modern canopy with integrated guttering, creating a sheltered serving area suitable for use throughout the year.
The bar was then finished with contemporary black slatted cladding, giving it a clean and modern appearance that contrasts effectively with the natural timber structure.
Large-format worktops were installed to provide generous serving and preparation space, while integrated beer taps, refrigeration and service equipment completed the commercial bar installation.
Decorative lighting was also incorporated beneath the canopy, helping to create an inviting atmosphere during the evenings.
The Finished Result
The completed outdoor bar has transformed the poolside area into an attractive social space where members can relax with refreshments during the summer months.
The combination of natural timber, contemporary cladding and premium worktops provides a high-end finish that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment while standing up to the demands of a busy commercial venue.
